A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Yeah Jim, thanks. I checked out his site, and I think it's the same project.

I'll pm you concerning the fairing. Don't want to hijack Ian's thread.

Nice looking work, mate. I am assuming this is the same Ian I sold a seat pan to. If so, I'm glad I could contribute to the project. Be sure to post up some pictures when the work's all done.

Yes mate, that would be me. It's at the upholsterer's as we speak getting a new skin. I'll be sure to post a pic for ya Tom, and thanks again for coming to my rescue

Nearly there...

Nearly there...

Well guys, it's been awhile, but I can see light at the end of the tunnel. I'm just waiting on a new front master reservoir to come via ebay, then we're off to get a roadworthy cert., then registration :)

Got the paint back from the spray painter who did the final clear coat for me, and it looks good.

Big thanks to Tom for the seat pan. What a pain that was. Turned out good as well. Used a dark grey pipping as a bit of contrast.

Anyway, thanks for you help guys. You've been a great help in solving all sorts of issues. I'll have 1 more pic to post I think when she's back on the road, but we're so close I can smell it. Or is that the new paint? mmmmmm. fresh paint

I haven't updated my project site with these new pics, but I'll get around to it soon: http://home.iprimus.com.au/ianfox/gs1100/

G Sus Palomino man ! You've brought that thing back from the dead !!

Unbelievable craftsmanship. Nice work.

Looks great, Ian.
Checking the before pics on your project site and the almost finished pics here sure do show the huge amount of work you have invested.
I also see a Honda F tailpiece in a pic. Do you have a project site link available for that bike as well?

Thanks Steve. Sharp eye you have my friend ;)
As a matter of fact, I do have that little project documented too. While I've been working on the zook for a family friend, the CBs are my first passion.

Try this link http://home.iprimus.com.au/ianfox/ss01.htm for a bit of background.

And just as a teaser:
