A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

HELP, got an issue here, I have the engine split on 850G taking care of the seals in the secondary drive. While doing that I noticed the rear cam cahin tensioner guide has excessive wear and is cracking, part #12810-45040. This one has gotta go, if you look at Boulevard parts they want $ 330.00, unbelievable!

Same part on the 1100G can be had for $ 81.00, different # though. Anyone here had this problem and come up with a solution that doesn't cost over 300 bucks?

I have located some used ones but concerned I'm just looking at the same problem down the road.

Thanks Guys.

Tough break!
Based on the price a good used one is probably the way to go.

I might have one in a spare engine. I will try to check tonight to see if it's in there.

It's from an '83 engine, and I was told that the engine had low miles on it. Looking at the part, I have no reason to argue with that.

Care to PM an offer? You need pictures?

Thanks Agemax, don't think I can wait for it though. I'm using a friends garage for this one and he needs it back by Monday, I own a condo and can't do that kind of maintenance in my garage. I did find an NOS part on ebay and can get it by Friday for half of what Boulevard wants. Still expensive but probably the best solution considering.

Thanks for everyone's response and help, GSR rocks...:dancing:

I responded at 6:14 that I have one.

I sent you a PM at 6:18 with a quote from my response.

It is now about 45 minutes later.

If your e-mail was shown in your profile, I would have sent you an e-mail.

I don't have your phone number.

I don't know how else to get hold of you.

Respond before 9pm tonight, I will take it to the Post Office and drop it off, it will be on its way tomorrow.
