A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

ok things started to go ok i got a screw extractor and replacement hex head screws for my stuck screw problem.. i disassembled labeled and sorted the parts by carb.. but however on the last carb i took apart, while removing the float the pin was stuck so i pushed with a pin pusher then switched to a screw driver and back again the pin was still stuck... well while doing this, one of the arms that holds the float in place cracked and snapped off.. i know this cant be repaired.. what i am getting at is does anyone know where i can get a replacement carb body for #1???

Do a search for float pin post, this topic has been covered before. Several people have offered fixes for it. If you can't repair the post, start a thread in the parts wanted section. Someone probably has a carb body laying around.

As almarconi mentioned, that topic has been coverer MANY times, with varying rates of success, but one thing is very important ...

WHAT BIKE ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT????

Please create a signature that shows your bike so you don't have to remember to mention it every time you ask a question.
Congratulations are in order, however, for having your location in your profile. Maybe someone near you can stop by to help. :o

No need to buy a carb rack, you can fix the broken post.

so in theory it could work i prob would have to talk with the manufacturer but it gives me options

The PO repaired one on mine with some wire: tapped a hole perpendicular to the existing hole down on the unbroken part, made a groove in the top of the broken part, looped the wire around and tightened it down. Looks like he glued it, too. Seems ok.

solved for now

solved for now

i found a place to get a carb in southern cali Neanderthal Cycle salvage said the have a few of them that need "mild cleaning" and are off running bikesso for now it sounds like a good option

Did you try ebay? Carbs for these bikes are not that hard to find.

naturally and nothing came up which is why i called them i did a google search as well and lol i got re directed to bike spec's here and on other sites google turned up on in spain but he wanted 150euro's for a carb with the same problem as mine (broken float post)

I don't know what you are searching under, but I found these 2 listings in about 5 minutes. Both will work on your bike.
