    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I am trying to find out how many links of chain I need. I measured around the sprockets I came up with 95" how many 530 links would I need?

95" / 0.625" = 152 links

Would help if you could give us model year and model of your bike and what size sprockets you're running, as that would give a more accurate number. you could always just get a long chain and cut links off to suit.

are you running a hay bale conveyor er sumthin? stretch limo? dragster?

Call Z1 and talk to Jeff. A very helpful young man....

When I converted my 750 to a 530 chain, it had(has) 114 links.:)

Wow, I'm sorry. I've slept since then. I can't really recall right now. My brain short-circuits sometimes.

I think it is 18 front, 45 rear, 114 links and there was a spacer. The chain guard is a little off now, but it's okay enough.

I really should know what is on my bike......:o

Wow! That's quite an ambitious project! I'm very impressed. It seems that if you can get enough traction, you should be able to climb the Matterhorn! :D

Please keep us informed and keep the pictures coming. It looks great so far. I don't think I've ever seen a large inline 4 used on a dirt bike. That should be a ton of fun. Thanks for sharing!

I haven't figured out what sprockets I am going to use yet. I was told by the old owner of the engine that he ran a 16 in the front and and 55 in the rear but that was running 630 chain.

Seriously, call Jeff at Z1. He's done hundreds of chain conversions and can advise you what to get so you will be able to climb that baby anywhere you want to.....:)
