One of my shop guys brought in a homemade motorcycle carb work stand. It's simple and cheap. best of all it WORKS.
The base has bolts tapped in to allow angle adjustment to simulate mounting on the bike, for setting the float height. The head unit is drilled every 90 degrees to allow the carbs to be worked on by rotating them. It uses a bolt through the top hole to lock the position. Built from 1" schedule 40 pvc plumbing pipe and a couple of pieces of radiator hose and clamps...
