Installing my GS1000SZ engine into newly powdercoated frame was quite easy by myself, I got a chain hoist and laid bike on side (suspension/wheels already installed). then used four tie-downs and hoisted it up. Built a rolling engine 'jig' of 2x4's and wheels from home depot. Put engine on side (sidecovers off, flat surface of alternator cover supported on 2 sides by 2x4's). lowered away carefully, bolted up, then raiised bike. Released 2 tie-downs slowly on bottom side of bike, and it was done.
I also used spray gasket remover on the engine, as it strips paint like nothing else I've used, then hosed off with 2400 psi powerwasher. Painted with PJ1 silver engine paint. It looks new. Will be posting pics, I have only the wiring harness, seat cover, and bodywork installation to go. Woohoo!
