A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

For a 81 gs650gl clutch cable is p/n 58200-34X03 : length over outer casing including end fittings is 54.5 inches

any more takers, surely a couple fo you have an old clutch cable and a tape measure to help a GS fan out?

Kind of hard to tell from your pic but looks like an L cable would work best. Might be better to measure the length you need and we can compare to that. If you post a pic of the bike from the side it might help as well.

i already have the right length sorted, and there's a bit of give and take, just keen to see what length options there are and confirmation of their origin so i can order one myself thanks

Run a wire or something from the clutch perch to the clutch actuator arm to determine what length you need. Z1Enterprises.com lists clutch cable lengths. Sort by Motion Pro and then see what length matches your application. THEN DO NOT BUY MOTION PRO as many don't have the fixture on the actuator end to connect to the arm on the clutch itself and they have no center adjust point which can be handy if you have "custom" application. Buy the genuine Suzuki cable that comes closest to the size needed.
