A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Coil wiring question

O.K. so I bought this pair of Katana coils to update my stockers. They are from a '05 and look great. Problem is the spade connectors look the same on each side of the coil and I don't know how to hook them up. I know I will have to make up a short harness to connect them as the stock wires will not match up. Does anyone know how I would determine how to do this? :? Thanks.

I guess no body knows. I will try some experiments with my old coils and my voltmeter. Maybe I can come up with something that way. Thanks for looking anyway.:-D

Some coils (like Dynas) it doesn't matter which you make + and which -

Jeez, give the GSR Hive Mind more than an hour and a half, willya? Especially when the question isn't actually about a GS part. Most of us don't have the Bandit wiring diagrams memorized yet. :-D

I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter which wire goes on which of the two connectors on a coil. At least that's the way most of them work that I know of, and there's no reason to suspect the Bandit coils are vastly different.

So the answer is at least a definite maybe.

Actually I posted the question on 4/24. Had a lot of lookers. That would make sense about the wiring as there are no markings on the coils themselves. I will give it a try. After all whats the worst thing that can happen? (Famous last words).[-o<
