DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

That is oddly awesome! Especially with the fuzzy dice hanging off the handlebars.

Aftermarket carbon fiber gas cap for Ducati 851/888, should work in all of the old bikes with round fuel fillers.

1981 Suzuki GS550 bobber - $700 (New Hartford)

Up for sale, I have a 1981 Suzuki GS550.
Clean CT Title in hand.
It is currently registered.

I purchased it with the hopes of having enough time to bobber it.
I cut the pipes, removed the bulky center stand, took the fender off, and took it up the road for a ride, and the throttle cable snapped on me. I then ordered a new one, and to put it on, I had to remove the airbox assembly.
It was like pandoras box to get it put on, and after I got it installed, I simply haven't had the interest or the time to continue with the project.
As it sits, it needs the airbox to be connected back onto the 4 carbs and I'm sure a good battery charge.

I have all the oem parts that came on it(I DO NOT HAVE THE CENTER STAND), so the pictures are without the fender, rear blinkers, tail section pretty much, and seat.

It is chain driven, NOT shaft driven, so its perfect for a bobber project.

I am not interested in keeping this at all, so any reasonable offers are being accepted. That includes trades for pretty much anything, but cash is king. - feel free to text or call. 860-806-1274

Thanks for looking. I WANT THIS OUT OF MY GARAGE!

The last 2 examples are the exact reason so many guys who want to bobber something take so much flak, more so then not, they loose interest, destroyed the bike, or are way over their heads, Several new people on the forum, actually take the time and do a nice job, but also, I've seen many a new post and wonder WTF is wrong with some people, no clue and want a $50 bobber cafe job and don't want to take the time to do the proper maintenance before hacking something to pieces or removing air boxes, then wonder why they can't get it running. Sad really, there are many here who actually have taken advice from experience and created some nice bikes, but those are very few.

i got my bike from clist and it was exactly wat your talking about, some people starting to rip a gs apart and not knowing wat there getting into, ive spent the same amount that i bought it for in parts and am starting to put it back together finally. i hope to redeem this gs's title haha

It would appear that the chopper craze is over and the bobber one grows. Let the hacking begin. Sigh....
