    A note to new registrants...
    All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

    A Special Note about Email accounts!
    DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Don't get me wrong, choppers, bobbers, cafe, are fine when done right, but just to destroy a bike, being in way over your head, or even if you could finish it and get bored thats just a waste. Sorry, but can't wrap my mind around street fighters or rat bikes when they say it's supposed to look like sh%%! Laying a bike down is not supposed to be the norm.

Looks good to me.

That one would be side-splitting funny if it was made for something other than his kid...seriously, bicycle forks?

I'm still laughing, it's nice to have one so funny instead of just sad, I laughed for 5 minutes before I could post it.

Not a funny but;

Not a funny but;

Man, I wish I had an extra 1600 laying around :eek: This would fit righti n with my '82 450 L. That green can go though.

1982 GS Suzuki 1100 L This is a shaft drive bike that used to have a fairing on it, which I removed and added a conventional headlight, signals and horn. NEWLY INSPECTED with a new tire in front, back tire is good. New battery. Added a 4 in 1 header and jetted the carbs, painted the bike and now here it is for sale. 33,000 miles, runs good, will soon need a clutch, If you crank on it too hard the clutch will slip. It's a heavy old school bike and I don't recommend it for a beginner or a lightweight and you should have a working knowledge on GS's. It will save you money working on your own stuff, especially these older bikes. Right now it's good and ready to go to a new owner as I bought a newer model. I'm not interested in trades or low ball numbers. No free rides. Come with cash in hand. Will not hold it for anyone! Clear title in hand! $1650.00 717-572-0939

OR it's got the wrong oil in it - although you wouldn't think so, given the apparent knowledge of GS's.

Nice 'mod' on the sidewinder, to clear the brake pedal...:rolleyes:

Not a GS, but still. Four large for an ugly hardtail bobber with a 2 qt. tank. Well, at least the front brake is still on this one...

Funny, I drove a Grand Am for a few years. I enjoyed that car but as I recall they have predictable failures around 92,000 miles and I was right around there. Got rid of that baby before it was too late!
