A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Chopper - $500

Runs Great, needs throttle cable and brake line ran. Have the parts just no extra time. Need extra room in garage.

At least he's almost asking a decent price for it. Notice the rediculously oversized exhaust that must be doubling as a sidestand.

It's a Hogster!

When I was looking for a bike, I laughed at the ads that say "needs carbs cleaned". That says to me the engine needs a valve job and a cam chain.

KBB prices are worthless for 80's Gs'es anyway.

They are pretty worthless for all bikes older than 20 years. This guy was a real piece of work, I emailed him a few times just to pull his chain. He's convinced he's got a gold mine, RARE AND COLLECTIBLE Virago, as if there is such a thing. Just a total moron!!!

Uglied up enough???

Uglied up enough???

It's cheap being $450 bucks... That's how much a good running 750 engine should cost.

Cheap is no good if at the first pothole the rear wheel folds up into your back. Just noticed that the swing arm is gone replaced with a latticework of wrenches, that ain't goin' to hold. Also isn't there a subframe under the engine that has been torched out, I don't think the engine was a stressed member on the old bikes...............

In a couple of days, the ad is going to disappear and NOBODY will know what the heck you are making fun of.

bike is a four stroke 2300cc monster. does need a little tlc but wouldn't take a lot to get running. needs a tank, battery, clutch cable, lights, etc. if you like classic sport bikes and know your way around a bike then this can be a very fun very fast toy.

...thread where you can place all your craigslist pet peeves! ...

Too many "pet peeves" to think of all.
Here's a few:
"was running great" followed by "so it should be easy fix" or "before it overheated is all" etc.
News Flash: EVERY vehicle EVER sold "was running great" at some point.

Then there's "was in a very minor accident" and the list of new stuff contains "new bumper" ,"Neeew Headlight lense" course the borderline retarded posters' list usually has "recent oil change" "tires rotated" etc.
(All the most basic maintenance that owner could perform, that they got suckered into paying for and never once did while driving thousands and thousands of miles)...

I had one best buddy who did a lot of business for vehicles ,etc. off CL ads and one day, concerned for him I said, " I hope you're careful, You know all the ads [going into city even], asking for "bring CASH" "
He said, "yeah it's a little sketchy sometimes, but when I do have cash, I keep this very close"
...(Detonics version, smallest model .45auto 1911, in stainless)...
Looking back, I think of that one as "THE CL piece".

"YIKES!" ,makes me daydream about the ideal "CL ad responder piece", awful daydream,
Can't help it being Interesting though: "ideal CL carry piece" IMO,
even though it'd be a nightmare ON BOTH ends really...

EDIT: D@rn topic I was looking for one (easy to spot) and found another MC nearby I might get! !@#$ gonna need to rent a storage IF I can get it....(AWESOME!) ...IDK...Want this one. Cheap too HMMmmm...???
