A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Does anyone know if these are correct for an 83 750E ? They look different than others I've seen.

I don't think they look like the ones I have, that I got off of a member on the site.

.

Yeah. I thought you had to replace the engine mount shafts with longer ones. I don't see anything like that in the picture.

perhpas these are a different style of mounting, they still might work....but yes I have the longer mounting shaft with mine....

Which reminds me, I still have not mounted them....and winter is coming to an end...

have to get busy....

.

Those are strange-with all those brackets, they look like universal fit on everything from scooters to harleys!
I spent a looooooong time looking for crash bars for my 650 - saw lots that fit 750, 850 etc., most were like attached pic
pic was from ebay item #261095184125 decent looking used set

Forgot the pic need more coffee!
P.S. finally found a new set for my bike-$28 including shipping

Yeah. Motomaster is Canadian Tire. I think I'll wait til I can find the real thing.

If they fit and mount up nicely, why not use them, they seem to be in great condition

now if you don't have them already, I can understand in waiting for the correct set to come up....

.

Nah they're for sale for a hundred bucks on e-bay. A little stiff for Crappy Tire stuff. I think the proper mounting ones with the engine mount shafts are the way to go. I'll keep looking.

Those in that link look like what I have....they actually might even have some extra pieces there that I don't think I have, but the bars themselves do look like mine

I can take a pic of mine and post here if you wish, for comparison...

.

Get them....I think they will work....

stand by for pictures, you can compare to mine....

here ya go

Thanks. I bought them. The price was good so I didn't bother with an offer for fear of losing them.

Good!

Your case guards should arrive around the same time as my stator cover if your seller is on the ball. We might head down early Saturday to pick it up, or wait until the 30th.

As there are no directions. This is how it looks to me. The long shaft replaces the top engine mount, and the two wide spacers are placed on either side. The middle clamps to the frame, and the bottom bolt replaces that engine mount bolt. As I've laid them out in the photo. Can anyone confirm ?

Thanks for the reminder....
