All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

it's alright I guess....

kinda looks outta place, I mean the rest of the engine looks so stock in comparison...

Woah! Lookit that! What's the "S" stand for? Space Shuttle?

Nice piece of work!

ok, I now need to book myself into a treatment clinic for metal lust.
That is gorgeous.

What a waist of metal and time. I cannot believe you would stoop this low man?

Let me save you some embarrassment. Send that thing to me and I'll "properly" dispose of it for you

Wow!! Nice job all around!!! Did you have it done or do it yourself?

Holy crap, is that some sort of fission reactor of sort? Some new robot for a mission to Mars? It's toooooo high tech to be an Old Skool Suzuki!

Looks like it might outrun a Vrod!! :-D :-D

Sorry I couldn't resist!
Great job! How much?
I'd buy one if the price was right.

Thanks for the compliments but I can't take credit for any of this work other than buffing the crap out of it and the paint. One of the summer interns did the work. He has a little GS twin that had a cracked cover. He needed to learn the CAD tools so he laid out a new cover for his bike. When I saw it, I thought that it really belonged on a bigger bike. The 1100 cover was a bit more complex to layout. He did a real nice job with it.

Check out his link:

$110 is a little high for me.
At least that's what he quoted on the other web site.

I think it would look great in the Suzuki blue on my S.

I missed that :-s

I'm out

Give the file to a shop and have 40 of them made and the individual cost would probably be half that.

I bet you would sell all of them within a year too. At 55 bucks I would buy one for my project bike.

I don't think they had planned on mass produce. I think he had just planned to sell off the couple of extras that they made. I have the only 1100 one. If there was enough interest at $50 a cover they may make a few. Send him a note on that other link.

I thought Harley had a bike from the factory running in the 9's. Came with bars and all for $30,000 or something like that. I heard they were going to make a class just for them and they had orders for over 200. I think I saw this on DB.com.

If they made a set to fit my 1100G (don't know if it's the same size as the 16V 1100's -- anybody?) I'd spring $50 for a cover and an insert for the other side...

Regards,
