I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I have a 78' GS 750 and I cannot find the cylinder head studs for the 4 center (tallest) ones for sale. I have tried suzuki dealers and the computer says they no longer make them. Any help in finding them would be helpful since three of them I had to cut to get the head off.

Parts Wanted Forum. Shouldn't be hard to find them. Lots of GS'ers have parts engines laying about. The 850 uses the same parts. The parts show as still available from Suzuki too, so where did you get the info that they are discontinued?

I have some in a old 850 parts bike, if I can get them out you can have them cheap. terrylee

Studs still available from Suzuki, take the part #'s in with you.
Don't rely on "parts guy", standard answer for these old bikes,
"Sorry, no longer available"

hey all thanks for the reply. When I went to the parts counter I looked with him and the 78' GS750 (E) showed they were no longer available. The other 750's were. So the first question since I do not have the other model is will the inner 8 studs fit my engine? My engine uses the 4 outer studs different length and the 4 inner studs (the ones that rust for some reason) are the longest of all the studs. I had to cut three of them to get the head off. These are the studs for some reason are different length. The other gs 750 show all 8 are the same length. any thoughts

I will down load a pic, can some one tell me how. the image button says what url link. Not sure what that means

Go here...http://www.alpha-sports.com/suzuki_parts.htm

Look up the part numbers. You will see there has been some supercession, but any of the parts in the chain will work.

Go back to your dealership guy and tell him to get the parts, or order online. Boulevard Suzuki is one of the forum favorites.

Instructions on how to post photos in high resolution, plus a whole lot more, available in this link...http://members.dslextreme.com/users/bikecliff/

EDIT:

Part# 09108-10112 Outer

Part# 09108-10027 Inner

Same parts are shared with the GS100

Go to photobucket. Copy the IMG link. Paste link here and the photo shows up. Do you know how to copy and paste?

BTW, I have two studs, not three. Total length is 7 9/16" end to end.

I would agree with the length. What engine model did they come off of maybe I can order the part? How much for them?

These studs came from a GS1000. As I already said earlier in this thread, the studs are the same as the 750 studs; same part number. Please go to the link I posted and check the part numbers for yourself. Check both the 750 and the 1000. As mentioned also, these parts are not discontinued so you can still order new.

If you want to discuss obtaining these, send me a PM.

Thanks for the help the GS 1000 only came out with GS100 typo error that is why I did not understand. I will call them today and order them thanks again.

Cylinder head Gaskets

Cylinder head Gaskets

Hey all why is the gasket for the top of the cylinder/valve train cost 145.00 bucks. I called a suzuki dealer in Maine and they have the #3 stud as part number 09108-10028 not -09108-10112 what gives?
