    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

This set is described as being for a 1981 GS 1100G. There was no such bike in 1981, just a 1000G, I believe. 2 emails to Diablo Cycle (Reproduction Decals) yield nothing more than "I'm not sure if that will work on a 1983 GS 1100G." The set is either for a 1981 1000G or a 1982, 1983 GS 1100G. Any ideas here as to what bike that set is for and whether the 1981 1000G and 1983 1100G could use the same decals?

Yeh, I feel your pain, I have 2 gs1100G's that will both needs decals, Richard (LondonBoard) will also need a set, and for all my searching Diablo is the closest set of GL decals (the link you supplied), I spoke to Diablo yesterday (really nice lady) and as she said if someone can supply an OEM set they are happy to copy them, I do have a supplier in the UK who will copy them, but it sounded pricey for one, pehaps send me your email and once one of us has a solid plan we get together and get a set commissioned

The '81 G and '83 G have two completely different tanks and side covers.

Possibly for a 1981 GS1000GL http://www.thegsresources.com/_scripts/gallerydispwnd.php?RegID=1089

Thanks for the replies. Looking at parts fiches, I was pretty sure that if the link was for a 1981 1000G it wouldn't work for a 1983 1100g. Also, are those sets just for the tank and side covers. What about the tail piece and fenders? I guess that's why it may be for a GL which gas no decals for the fenders and no tail piece.

agreed that's what I was trying to say in a round about way, they are deffo GL decals, make sure you post up if you ever find some or a solution, I'm sure many will be interested
