A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Did Suzuki ever make dedicated parts manuals for their bikes? I've got an '81 GS550T and have the factory service manual & supplement for it but wondering if Suzuki ever made a standalone illustrated parts breakdown manual for their bikes like Honda and other manufacturers have done.

I've looked around on the web / eBay and haven't seen parts breakdown type books other than copying fiche pics from the various parts sellers sites.

Suzuki published a parts micorfishe. I've got some of them but haven't looked at them in years. I'm unaware of any paper part manuals. The part numbers evolve anyway so unless you had the latest version it wouldn't do you that much good.

Not so much looking for part numbers as I am looking for better quality i.e. higher detail exploded views of the bike. I've got a '71 Honda CB750 and the paper parts manual Honda issued for those bikes is money. In addition to excellent diagrams the parts listing give specs for most all the attaching hardware i.e. nut & bolt sizes, o-ring sizes, etc.

Awesome...Thanks! Decent parts breakdowns and hardware specs...they'll be a big help. The factory repair manuals are ok but their pictures / drawings aren't all that great at times. They're also written with Suzuki trained techs in mind so the assume knowledge / leave out some of the finer detail process steps in a number of places.

search for "microfiche", you may find a set of the old plastic film sheets. I did, years ago, for the 850 I had at the time, and took them to library and printed out many of the pages.

Later I, for bike I have now, found a set of the old microfiche that had been copied onto a DVD ... and I printed out (at home on own computer/printer) most all the pages. If you have computer in your shop, there may be less need to print out the pages.

Anyway, as others have suiggested, don't search for parts manual, search for "microfiche".
