A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I got off early today and the temp. was mid 60's with sunshine so I decided to go exploring. I was looking for some new curvy roads in Northwest Tennessee without much success. I was heading generally toward home when I took a side road and soon saw a sign for Garrett Lake. I had never heard of it but I was in Weakley county Tennessee about 25 miles from home. The road meandered around for a few miles then came to a stop. THe main road went Right but to the left I could see the lake. I took the 1 1/2 lane access road and here is proof I was a Garrett Lake today.

It is a very pretty lake maintained by the TN department of fish and wildlife. Never been before but I will be back! I'm sure it was beautiful when the leaves were turning.:)

An adventure taking the long way home. Sounds great.

Did you see any fish and wildlife?

.

Saw some fish jumping, probably large mouth bass. No wild critters but lots of dogs out and about.

Well, I just figured that if they have an entire department for fish and wildlife that maybe you might see some fish and wildlife.
THought you might make some comment about "wildlife".
Michigan must not have wildlife, we have a Department of Natural Resources.

Nice that you found a new interesting place on your afternoon adventure. I suspect you will make other such "long-way-home-from-work" adventures and go back to there at various times of the year.

What goes on in that area called "The land between the lakes" and the road 453 called "The Trace" ?

I try to get over to Reelfoot Lake a couple of times a year. Went earlier this Summer and ate at Boyettes.:)

The Trace is the highway that runs North-South the entire length of the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation area from Grand Rivers KY on the North end to Dover TN on the South end, about 60 miles. This Pic is at Lighthouse Landing near Grand Rivers.

Good information here. http://www.explorekentuckylake.com/
