A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Do you still feel the Force

I don't have much of a feel for acceleration at the track. I guess with all my runs I've condition my brain or maybe I'm just brain dead.

But when I get on the return road, flip the visor up, unzip the jacket and twist the throttle, holy crap you better hold on.

I guess I'm just concentrating on the tree, shift lite and finishline to feel the speed involved. Go get the slip and see the mph and say it didn't feel that fast. I guess that's why those NASCAR boys don't have speedometer's in their car's

I guess I need a kick in the pants now, so next year I'll try alittle nitrous.

I got that drag racing my Nova's.

After 100 or so low 11 second passes.......you just kinda lose the feel of it I guess LOL.

I don't get to go to the track enough to condition my brain. So its always a thrill. Sometimes its more than the acceleration that gets me going. Drifting near the wall is always fun. Thinking your going to take out the foam blocks is good for a thrill too. Did I mention that my driving skills are as good as my clutch tuning skills.

I agree, if it no longer scares the crap out of you, you need to pump it up a bit more.

I am in the same boat here, I went from racing every weekend in the 80's and early 90's to racing oce or twice a season the pasts couple years. With the 1150 I had many runs on it over the years, it was like automatic and I never felt the acceleration unless it was one of those exceptional launches or I sueezed the N2o. Remember I never run wheelie bars so a good launch is very easy to distinguish from a soft one.
Now when I go I am amazed how thrilled I get waitng in staging and pulling to the line. the adrenelin is awsome.

how about the night before? , I used to have trouble sleeping like a kid on christmas eve.

I kind of get the reverse feeling, after riding my 1100 for weeks at a time and get back into my cages, they just don't go worth a crap.
