A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Hi.

Could anyone help me please.

I have just purchased a pair of Dynatek coils and a set of leads from Z1 Enterprises for my GS1000g.

Could some one help me, the leads look like they have to be cut in half as i have 2 leads with a plug connector on each end.I am not sure wether the plugs that are on each end go to the spark plugs or the coils.Help?

Cheers BillyGS.

haven't yet owned any of those, but have been looking, i think you just cut the wires in half and use the two wires w/caps on one coil. somebody more informed will probably be along, but thats my two cents.

You have to plan ahead a bit, but basically, you'll need two cables slightly shorter than the others, so you cut somewhere in the middle of each cable to make four cables. Then you slide on the boots and crimp on the included connectors to make the coil end of each cable. The long boots are the spark plug end.

Weren't the instructions included?

Or maybe it's just a test to see if you're truly worthy of using Dyna spark plug wires. :-D

I sort of "pre-fit" them to figure out how long each one needed to be before I cut them and ended up with a bunch of extra, but neither spare length was long enough for a spare wire.

Same for me... They work well though. You have to fit them carefully on the G otherwise they rattle on the tank. I tried them 2 or 3 different ways before I found the best configuration of spacers & which holes to use etc.

The "ports" to connect the coils to the leads face forward on mine, only way I could get them to fit.

Dan :)
