A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I have my 83 GS550L and I just bought a Dyna S DS3-2 system and two new andrew's coils off a guy on ebay for a really good deal. I got to looking at the pics and the mechanical advance he is putting in with it looks to me like it doesn't have the black dyna-s plastic rotor piece that mounts to the mechanical advance. I could be looking at the picture wrong and it could be on there and just the way it looks from a top view but it don't look like it to me. Surely he hasn't taken that piece off and not going to ship it as well. The reason I am doing this as you all may know I was having Ignitor issues on my stock ignition system. I tried two different ignitors and both of them were bad. I was going to go with the dyna-s and eliminate the whole problem. If this system doesn't come with the magnetic rotor device does anyone know where I can purchase one or does anyone have one laying around for the DS3-2 unit that I could buy or would be willing to donate? The picture of the item is here:

I have emailed the guy, but he hasn't had time to respond yet. If anyone can help here it would be greatly appreciated!!

I saw one of those rotor pieces on e-bay a few ago - don't know if it's still there, but you can most likely search for one there in the event you can't come up with one elsewhere.

Another suggestion might be to call Z1 Enterprises http://www.z1enterprises.com/default.aspx & speak to Jeff. Perhaps he might have some extra parts around from returned units. He helped me out once in that regard before...

Good luck.

Rotor looks to be there, under the aluminum washer. You might want to ask him for the bolt for the advance unit while you are at it.
