A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I have done a quick search but the old dialup is going abit slow at the moment, might have something to do with the snow!

I have always planed to get rid of the airbox and run pods and a stage 3 kit for my GS1000ET.
Long story short I have enough cash to get a jet kit now, but not the pods. I like the look of the APE pods and the price is right but the frieght is a killer at $45.
Would it be worth putting the stage 1 jets and needles in now, or should I sit on the kit untill I have the pods?
The only advantage I can see is adjustable needle height.
Are there other benfits?
Cheers

Are you running the 34mm CVs? I have two nice pods and you can purchase two RC-0982.
Let me know and I'll try and save you some money.

Maybe we can also get the pods for you & ship them to you a bit cheaper than $45....

Dan :)

worth asking?

worth asking?

if the seller wants to ship using usps first class mail that should cost only us$20 to nz

How poorly does it run now?

It runs ok at the moment, but to be honest it is a case of buy the kit now or prolly not at all.
We are using the the sell a toy to buy a toy rule here at the moment. I just sold an old set of 29mm smoothbore carbs from one of my old race bikes. So I need to speed the money before it gets used for kids lunches, new drapes or something else less important LoL.

Yes they are 34mm CVs. Thankyou for your very kind offer. I will try getting a better price on postage as Psyguy suggests. If that doesny work I will PM you.

Thanks mate. Good idea I will try another email.
Now that you mention it a few of the packages I have received from Z1 have only cost about 20 bucks and would easily filt a set of pods.

Cheers

heres a handy tool to give you an idea on what the postage should cost using usps services

in most cases it's only the weight that matters (although there are some limitations on the size of the parcel) - see details on the explanation pages
