A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

right at idle to about 1700 rpm, there is a bog down on my 1100, im trying to figure it out, but have had no sucess, anyone have any ideas? fuel flooding, or starving?

Could be tied in to your other post, maybe not enough electrical juice to the coils.

Fuel starvation usually shows up at high speed.

Does the bogging get worse when the motor's warmed up or does it do it both cold and warmed up?
Have you checked the airbox for good sealing? Also check the airbox- carb boot clamps for tight. Is the air filter clean? Have you moved the mixture screws? Are the plugs gapped and in good condition?
Did you inherit this problem or did the bike just suddenly start doing it?

it was inherited when i bought the bike. it has pod type filters. and it doesnt go away when warm

Check the voltage at the coils, if there's a drop of more then .5 volt check your wiring.

The pod filters require changing the jetting. The bog could be the pilot circuit or the needle circuit. CV carbs can be difficult to jet sometimes.
Did you get any info with the bike about the jetting? Do you also have a 4-1 pipe?
"Bogging" is a word that can describe both a lean or a rich condition. If the bike was not re-jetted, it is certainly very lean.
If this is the case, you may be able to adjust your mixture screws OUT some and see if that helps. Be aware the mixture screws can be tight and may even still be capped. Use a good fitting tool to avoid stripping the heads. These screws are GENERALLY about 2 turns out. They help regulate the pilot circuit up to 5 turns out. Turning them out beyond that is no use. At that point you would need a larger pilot jet and re-set the screws to where they were.
Try turning them out 1 full turn further than they are now and test. If your bogging gets WORSE, turn them back in to where they were and turn them 1 additional turn in and test.
If turning them out 1 additional full turn from where they are initially HELPS, then try another 1/2 turn out and test/fine tune.
This procedure is easy to do and doesn't cost a thing. It would be good to know what, if any, changes were made to your jetting. You would have to re-jet the pilot circuit as I said and also the needle and main circuits.
