A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Try showing up 5 minutes before closing time with a case of beer. Don't go in and talk to the manager, just walk to the shop doors, find the guy with the most grit on his clothes and ask if he likes free beer. I am 2 for 3 for easy custom fab stuff, though I must admit it was for my kids trampoline. If they shoot you down, consider it free beer for you, no harm, no foul :)

Lol...you guys are awesome....but I finally found it....turns out the first guy i talked to at pepboys is dumb....called again to double check and what do ya know....they had it...good lord finally...but that was the easy part...now I need to work on getting the header bolts out that snapped off when removing the exhaust...ugh....gonna habe to pull the whole front end off just to get a good angle at em

What kind of anti-seizing oil did you use before trying to loosen the bolts?

pb blaster...let em soak for about 20 min...i got 2 of 4 of the broken bolts out and tapped but one of the 2 left may be the death of my head...broke a drill bit off inside last night and i dont really know of anything that will drill through a drill bit

1) PB Blaster is amazing - next time you run into a stuck bolt consider soaking for 3-4 days - it could help.
2) Try a harder drill bit ;)

I've never trusted the counter guy any of the min wage parts stores.

How many of em busted?

4 of the 8 busted...i was able to drill and tap 2 of them...the 3rd one i have yet to try and the 4th one has the drill bit broke off inside it...just got what the guys at home depot said was their hardest bit to try and drill through that old bit (rigid cold fire bit) and it dulled in about 2 seconds flat

You've got your work cut out for ya dude. Do a search.. Lots and lots of info on this subject.
I busted a tap in one of mine. Used a center punch to bust it up peice by peice using a magnet to remove the bits untill the hole was clean.
PITA
Oh, and stop trusting the min wage idiots that work behind the counter.:)
Do your own research. You'll learn alot more because you're the one that made effort.
