A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hit gravel. Went flying. Got up, pulled bike out of ditch. Ordering new instrument panel this week. Should be back on the road by next Sunday.

The End.

So you didn't bonk your noggin or anything?
Nothing broken, I hope?
All OK?

up the road from here. I was going maybe 20-25, hit some gravel around a turn and the bike slid into the ditch. Bike is ok except for instrument panel. I have already found one on ebay so I will order this week. Should have it up in running in a few days.

I was riding with a more experienced rider (always good) and he said that I handled it the only way I really could have. He told me that he would have come around the curve alot faster on his rocket and would have ended up in the field.

Wondering if a panel off another model would fit it?

Ouch! Glad it wasn't serious for you or the bike. Hope you had on or now will wear all the gear. No one is good enough to foresee all accidents

Hi Mr. jonshrader,

I am sorry to hear of your misfortune. I came across a lot of gravel in the road on my little fun ride yesterday. I'm glad I was with an inexperienced friend. I was going a lot slower because of it, plenty of time to see all the debris in the road.

I hope and pray that you and your bike heal quickly. Ride safely!

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

My friend with 40+ years riding experience dumped his wing in a corner this last week end... a picture i will never get out of my mind. He didn't fare nearly as well as you so I am just glad youare OK.

Gravel the "Devil's Ball Bearings". Fiendish stuff for sure.

Glad you are ok and it wasn't worse for the bike.

Having dumped myself in the stuff I'm very paranoid and keep an eagle eye out for it as I'm sure you will now.

Its good to get right back out there but be careful and don't get overly nervous as that can lead to problems too.

Stay safe,
Spyug

Devil Stuff

If that's called "Devil's Ball Bearings", water and algae should be called "Devil's Snot".

4-5 more weeks before I can get back on two wheels.
