I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Here is a pic of my 1982 GS 850 Limited. It has 34K miles and runs like a champ. I bought it two weeks ago and the paint was tired. I took the front fender off to paint it but then liked the way it looked and left it off. I slapped a fairing on and then I decided to paint the fairing too. I like the way it turned out, but then agin I am a little wacked. My friends say it looks like something out of Mad Max. Go ahead, tell me what you think! I'm asking for it.

Not a big fan, but hey...everyones bike is somewhat unique to them.

Screams "I am lazy" too.

I asked for your opinion of the bike, not me. Obviously it was a quicky rattle can job, just for fun. It is just a cheapo bike that I had some fun with. Lighten up.

dont listen to haters man. satin black is always a good choice. it doesnt scream lazy or rattle can. it doesnt scream at all. it wispers. its not flashy. i personally love satin black. and so what if its spraypaint? it just means you can experiment with it without losing out on a lot of money. i would suggest giving it a small buff job and see how you like it then. maybe a kind of semi gloss. but above all else be yourself.

If you don't want to read opinions, don't ask for them.
That bike looks like crap.

Dude, try more fiber. It will make you nicer.

I'm nice enough. That's just an incredibly ugly bike.
Like you said, you were playing with spray cans. I really don't care if you want an ugly bike, that's up to you.
Ugly bikes are fine too, I have several.
But you did ask for opinions about how it looks.
In my opinion, it looks like crap.

funny how an opinion turns to the digestive tract...;)

One mans trash is another ones treasure.

My next door neighbor is a young'ish Hispanic guy and he made a huge graffiti mural for his place. You couldn't pay me to put something like that in my place, but to him, and his friends, it's kool. Mural is still in the garage so I guess his wife wasn't down with it either but hey, just saying.

I like satin black too. But I like it *even*. There's more patchiness there than on a quilt. Let's remember everyone: start the spray and *lead on to the surface*.

Aside from that the bike in mad max was charcoal, not satin, the pipes weren't painted and it was 3 years earlier. I know, it's in my garage. But hey, it's better than being chrome dipped...

The black itself isnt so bad..but I think theirs too much of it...I like the blackened out look but maybe throw in some aluminum polish or some other color somewhere..I dont have much room to criticise being the paint on my bike is rattle can and bedliner on the tank. But hey I'm a mechanic not a painter..lol

Good thing about rattlecan paint job is you can change it when ever you want and the color choices are endless....:D

Different strokes for different folks but...

(you wanted us to be honest)

...to me, it looks like horrible. The huge fairing and the massive "king and queen" styled seat are like needles in my eyes. I realize it's an L-model but even so, I think the original paintscheme would have done the bike more justice, even if it was in bad shape.

Also, why does the tank say Suzumi (スズミ) and not Suzuki (スズキ)?

You ought to fix that.

Actually it says Nezumi, which means "rat". Which is what it is - a rat bike. It is supposed to be offensive. That's the point. I like that you don't like it. Keep them coming! (Even that constipated Dude is welcomed to say some more).

Doesn't do it for me either. Looks what it is - a bike sprayed in matt black with no masking off. Still, if you like it it's job well done and that's all that matters.

To do a proper rat in my opinion takes a lot of time and zero money. It's all about finding something that doesn't fit / wasn't designed for that purpose and making it work - old fire extinguishers for petrol tanks, putlug for an exhaust, that sort of thing.
