I decided to rebuild the fork on my parts bike and swap it into my bike when it's all done. I got it all apart except for the damper oil lock. Part 18 in the diagram:
Also didn't find any wavy or flat washers above it--but when I rinse the fork tubes with kerosene they might come out if they are just hiding somewhere.
I tried tapping out the oil lock with a socket from below but I didn't go too crazy--I don't know how it's supposed to come out. The Clymer and Haynes manuals suggest it will fall out as easily as the damper rod. What gives?
This is an anti-dive "posidamping" fork where the anti-dive is *not* connected to the brakes.
