Hey Guys,
I have a friend who drives a '79 GS1000. It tends to backfire a lot at cruising RPM's (3000RPMs) and definitely lacks power. The bike is all stock except for the cheap pod filters he put on it recently. Could these be the cause or is it more likely a timing issue?
P.S. if putting the stock airbox back in is a good idea, please advise on the easiest way to do this. I helped him take it out and it was a real bitch to do.
If timing is the way to go, could use a nice video or picture guide on how to do it properly.
Thanks!
