A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I have a friend that owns a powdercoating business, and I bartered with him for some work about two years ago, and I finally collected! This is my GS1000S Cooley project. He did the frame, 1100 swingarm, battery box, engine mounts, fairing brackets, foot pegs, triple tree cover, shocks, headlight ears, brake caliper bracket and stay, kickstand, and engine guards. They turned out great! Now to start putting it all back together!

Very nice. That powdercoated frame goes a long way to making it look like a better than new bike.

I've always thought about powder-coating. I've got a slight issue with rust. Besides price, I just can't see myself tearing my little baby to pieces, and then the head-ache of putting it back together again.

Looking at your project just makes me so jealous. It'll be one sweet-and protected-ride once you get it back together again.

Oy Vey! LOVE PC, and Bruce, if your hands are in it, you can bet the end result will be nothing short of stunning! Will be watching....

Looks great. I really like the idea of doing the fork lowers. Frijoles, it's just a matter of jumping in and doing it. Just start taking things apart and before you know it, you have pieces laying everywhere. But, at this point, I'd wait till the end of the season to start. ;)

Wow, that things going to be awesome. I cannot wait to see it back together with the newly painted body pieces, throw in the hot rodded engine

BOY

The guards that came on my Cooley are chrome and in deent shape, bit your giving me ideas!!!

Isn't it so nice to lay all those pieces out and just look at em. Knowing that you should not have to mess around with any paint work or rust for the next 5 years or so is nice. I say 5 years because I am not sure how well its going hold up to rock dings and chips. We shall see. Considering I have gone the exact same route you have. My frame goes to the PC shop tomorrow hopefully. Looking good man.
