I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

When I have my bike on the centre stand, weight is on the front wheel, which makes it a bit of an annoyance when removing the front wheel for changing tires or whatever.

I have propped the bike bike up by putting a toolbox under the headers, but just wondering if there is a better tip/trick for keeping the front end up.

Try a little Viagra in the gas tank? :D

I need to get into my toolbox when working on the bike, so I use a hydraulic floor jack.

Get a small, flat piece of wood and a car jack.Put the piece of wood under the oilfilter/engine and raise using the car jack.It doesn't take much to raise the front wheel off the floor.Don't raise the front to far, just enough for what you need.Cheers,Simon.;)

A front end stand is worth its weight in gold. Two types, one goes under the ends of the forks and one goes in the hole in the lower triple tree where the steering stem is. Both types will work on any bike.

Pitbull is the brand, best on the market. I have front/rear stands from them and the quality is unbelievable.

First type, this allows you to remove the front wheel.

Good plan - I'll go to the car breakers and get a jack. I remember last time I was at "Pick A Part" they had a huge pile of those jacks for $1 each.

I'd use the one out of our car, but I have to leave it there for a few days or weeks. Imagine the wife's reaction if we had a flat and there's no jack because of the above. Imagine my own reaction.

Set the bike on the center stand, and a case or two of beer on the rear will throw the weight on the back wheel, lifting the front one off the ground. :^)

The stands are very nice but I'm too cheap plus you gotta find a place to store them.

Here's what works on both my GS and FZ1. Get two small jack stands at your local car parts place. They need to be small like for small import cars.

Cut a small piece of 2"X4" lumber about 4" to 6" long.

Put bike on center stand. Lift front wheel and put 2X4 under wheel. Take jack stands and put under the horizontal frame rails. My cheap chinese $12 jack stands have a perfect setting that allows them to just slide under the rails from front to back.

Once the stands are in place just lift the front again and remove the wood. Front is now dangling high enough to change/remove forks/wheels. I just leave the stans and the wood block under my work bench when not being used.

I pull the handlebar center up towards the ceiling with a come along, but that's just me.

Keeps it from falling off the centerstand no matter what I do.

I put two 25lbs weights from my weight set on the seat. Make sure to lock you center stand with the hole that is there for a screwdriver or a piece of round stock.

These methods only work if you happen to have these materials around the house. There is only one chance of having a case of beer around my house, and that is if you bring it and plan on consuming it (in a responsible manner).
And, ... looking at my physique, it will quickly become obvious that I have no 25lb. weights around here, either. :-\\\
