If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

I got to reading some of the stories on here and it made me think of something that happened to my wife.

When I first got Basket case the first thing I did was rebuild the carburetors. I got it from a friend who got it from a friend ect. ect., so it had been sitting who knows how many years. Well, I got it all together and it wouldn't run so I quit for the night. The next morning I left with no signs of trouble. The wife works nights so she called and said that the motorcycle was leaking gas everywhere. It was on the center stand so I told her to take it off the stand and roll it out. She is a strong military woman so no worries. WRONG! I get a call five minutes later she dropped it and now gas is going every where and she's crying covered in gas! I still have two hours of work and I'm thirty minutes away. I can't leave and she needs to get to work. So, I told her to just pull the tank and toss it out side and put some kitty litter down to pick up the gas. Well this goes without flaw untill she realizes the bike is in the way of the garage door. I still can't leave. I explained how to pick it up properly and she did only to drop it again as she started to roll it. Why she dropped it you might ask? Because the kitty litter was the clumping kind and it turns to a slick as snot mess which is worse than the gas. After this she calls again crying even more and now covered in gooey gassy kitty litter. So I told my Sargent the story and I went home. That mess was so hard to clean up I had to empty the garage and pressure wash the mess out the door to clean it off the floor and bike. She decided then and there she would never be a motorcycle fan. It's been almost a year and she is just now stating to warm up to Basketcase. It's a funny story now and she laughs about it, but she got on heck of a bruise from it and was defiantly not in a joking mood for quite some time. So what did we learn? Don't trust a tank you don't know and never use the clumping kitty litter. After looking at it the petcock was shot and we now have a large bag of regular kitty liter in the garage. On the plus side she proved a 5'2" woman can pick up a heavy bike.

My garage floor is so old, anything that hits it gets absorbed instantly.

I did manage to have a 20 gallon propane tank empty in there once.
Talk about dizzy moments.

So why do you call it "Basketcase?"

Basketcase means two things that I know of. One is a crazy person and the other is an auto project that's in pieces. Say you were looking through Craigslist and they listed a "Basketcase 74 Panhead". That means its tore down. That's how I got her, a friend of mine had her in his garage in boxes for as long as I've know him . He told me if I thought I could get her running she was mine. So I did. :D

Where Is Winter Springs at?

Winter Springs is northeast of Orlando, just west of Oviedo, southeast to Sanford, east of Longwood, and just north of Casselberry, all these places are really one big metropolis of Orlando it seems.
