A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Draining the oil out of my 1150 today and this is the colour.. green/yellow? Sounds like the bike sat for a while. Bike runs. Normal?

Rislone is green and I believe that there is a brand of oil that is also.
Wolf's Head perhaps?

i'm guessing this is the first drain since you bought it and this oil is from the PO? i would guess maybe an additive of some sort? or maybe some water in it from condensation / sitting? pretty strange...

The Motul full synthetic that i use in one of my bikes is green.
It changes to brown by the time you change it.
Did yours have an odour? Did the proper amount drain out?

That is odd.I've seen green fork oil but never green engine oil.Seeing as the 1150 is air cooled I somehow doubt it's an antifreeze leak.Given the PO's weird ideas(thinking about that airbox)I'd think it was some of the more "exotic" oils others have mentioned.

Yeah, it's all the coolant from the radiator leaking...

Lol..... Yeah ok ... On an 1150!?... Zip radiator on there fella ;)

It's not coolant, it's sure as hell not anti freeze... There are oils out there that are actually that colour. I use some no name mineral oil here that is that colour out of he tin and new. Not all things are equal...

Water or condensation tends to grey out the oil.... Not green ;)

I know, what with GSs being all air-cooled & all...

Hey, i remember Duckhams, used it regular back then but it sure dont look like Duckhams to me.

1980 GS850 L ex New York.
1982 GS1100L Ohio Reg.

Maybe Duckhams that has been in the motor well past it's sell by date, considering when last I saw it on the shelves.
Was always my second choice to Agip for my Alfa's.

Hi, Very soon after use Duckhams changed colour and then looked just like ANY other oil of a similar age. Sure dont look like any Duckhams to me. Has got a sheen on top though like it might be Water Based. Cant Be !!!! "PUZZLED"

The ORIGINAL formula Kendall GT was a green oil & some of the best you can get! It is now being sold under the Brad Penn name. The very best non synthetic you can get! It is the oil Falicon has always suggested you use with their cranks. Ray.
