A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

hey guys.
shawn here and i'v been working my but off on that beast of mine.
this will blow your minds!
this last week i was out working and ran across a man that said he had a gs1150 motor he pulled off a old drag bike he had bike . and it was a running motor. so after we talked for a lil bit he told me he needed to get it out of hes shop floor but didn't know where or who to sell it to.
so after a lil more talking 3 hours go by and many beers too. GOD shinned on me when he leand over to me and said i was a great guy and i was welcome to stop by any time but he was drunk and had to go to bed. so i said good by and see you next time. as i walked to my truck he stoped me and said ( ARE YOU GOING TO TAKE YOUR MOTOR! ) i stoped and replyed is it mine and he replyed well ya i just told ya i didn't want it and didnt know what to do with it! i must add the man was like 60 years old!

so after that i ran to get it . its now here in my shop and i need info on things i can do make a sleeper motor. he did say the crank was welded why i dont know. but other then that i have no info on it and need any info i can . i want to build it up nice and mean!!!

Good score - A welded crank is a bonified mod for high horsepower as they have been known to twist (at least on the 1000). If 1150 is the same they are a pressed finish from the factory.

RapidRay has to be your man on this - he knows all the info. Are the Cams stock? Did you get any carbs with it?

i got the hole motor.. with carbs.. don't know any more info then that.
what should i look for? and i planed on calling ray too....

Well that motor is already a sleeper assuming it runs well. About 124 hp for the GS1150 compared to 109-111 hp of the the stock GS1100E.

Hp depends on how much you wanna gotta.

How much hp you wanna :dancing:

How much money you gotta

Decide that first then go ask Ray.

If you are going to spend $400-500 I would

4:1 pipes, Stage III Jet Kit , pods, Dyna coils and coil relay mod.

If kinda goes up from there.
