The battery light came on sometime this summer on my abused and much-jury-rigged Suzuki. The idiot lights have been sporadic anyway, but just in case, I followed the recommendations in the Stator Papers and ran the trouble-shooting tests.
The stator is good, and the rectifier passes the diode test. I'm chasing the wiring to ensure good connections (and ran my RR ground directly to the battery Neg)
The puzzling part is that my voltage at idle is 14.2, and drops gradually to about 12.9 at 5K RPM. Any ideas why?
