A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

YEAH! I knew you could. Even still, going here was the fist thing I did after making coffee to see how you did.
Congrats!

hahah thanks man. Its good to know I gots some love out there :)
Now i just have to do some fine tuning to get the lever rock solid :) Thanks so much for ur help man. I been going at it for days and I've finally got something :)

Nice one on the bleeding!

As to those tyres... jealous! I'm having so much trouble finding dual sports for my 450 as it seems noone in Brissie that has an online presence stocks Shinko... and they're the only ones I can find that have suitable 18" front and rear dual sports...

Looking good Sam. Make sure you don't have air being drawn in at the bleed nipples, TomMLC had that problem with some new bleed nipples he fitted. They didn't leak fluid but did let in air.
Think he finally solved it with a different set of bleeders. Maybe speed bleeders. :)

Forgot to metion... This build is WAIT FOR IT............................................................ LEGENDARY! :dancing:

haha

They look great... the rear looks like it has more of a taller curve on the tire surface.

I agree they look great! But the "taller curve" is partly due to /80 profile. /90 would be more appropriate for the rim and would have less "curve".

Sam, if you wouldn't mind posting on how they hold ON road once you break them in that would be great... cos they look really awesome :)

So is it Sunday morning there and you got another day to play... or is it Monday and you got to go to work?
Sunday night here... I'm dreading going back "to the grind" after 10 days Vacation :(

Its Monday morning. And I'm at work earing the bling so I can fund this bad boy.
Cant wait to get home though!

My good man,
No one in vic stocked them either. I got them from a place in Sydney on Ebay. They shipped them both for $20 (both tyres!). Cost me $250 all up.

Here is the info. I suggest emailing them instead of buying on ebay as they will combine the postage.

Check this link. This is what I got :) i love ebay.

Cheers for that! I just read in AMCN the other week that there's a new dealer or something in Sydney called "Trooper Lu", so I'm guessing this is their eBay presence...

I'll check 'em out and see if they carry anything in my 450's size...

W00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000t!

Sorry for the excitement. It turns out that Hoosier, sent me a PM, possibly to avoid embarrassing me...about my bleeding issue on my calipers.

Firstly. He pointed out that my bleeder in the previous pics, are on the bottom of the caliper. They should be up the top...I put them on the wrong sides, and thus, upside down, and thus allowing the air to be traped up the top and i was bleeding from teh bottom.

I swapped them when i got home from work, and 5 mins of bleeding, I had a rock solid brake lever. I spent days on this, with nothing, then 5 mins of it (the right way up) and I have brakes as solid as boulder.

Thanks Hoosier! Life saver :) wont be making that mistake again lol
here is the latest...

SWEEEEET!
Don't mention it... I enjoyed every minute, but then my hands stayed nice and clean... LOL

Good to hear you got the problem sorted.
Yes, Hoosier Daddy has an eye for detail for sure, its those funky disks that everyone was drooling over you see, no one else even saw calipers, let alone bleeding nipples.
The man could probably tell you what colour eyes the girl with the low cleavage and big boobs has too.

Hey oohsam..
I've just made my return to the land of the living and the forums.
The bike looks great.
I wondered about a red frame myself and wasn't sure but seeing yours has confirmed it. Brilliant.

Where abouts are you based?

Hey Leigh!
Welcome back my good friend! :)

I'm also south of melbourne - Berwick. I'm sure you know where it is.
Feel free to pop in any time. My garage is your garage. I have lots of good tools that can be of use if ever required. I can't guarantee my knowledge but I'll give anything a crack!

PS. Thanks. I wasn't sure bout red either, but thought, what the hell.

Sort of.

It'd be cool to come up one weekend and check the progress.
