I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Took a 50 mile pleasure ride today. I did take pics will try to post a few later. I've still got some carb issues I believe. When cold it idles well, but it's pretty lazy and surges at mid throttle between 2500 and 4000. Problem is much less pronounced after it gets warm but it's still there. After my ride with the bike still running at idle I used my temp gun to get a reading on the pipes. 2-4 were all at about 260, number 1 was around 350. Ya think 1 is running leaner than the others? Maybe still some undiscovered blockage in the carb? Any other ideas? It's got a 4-1 exhaust and I can't find a brand name on it anywhere. Generic I guess. Stock jets all around. No pods, stock airbox.

A plug chop will tell the story, pack some gloves and a plug wrench and go do a few plug chops.

Stock jets and a header = cooking the engine by running lean. Not as bad as pods though. Ever check the valves?

I had some concerns about the aftermarket exhaust. I seem to recall they left the factory on the lean side to begin with. I've been looking for a decent set of stock pipes but have found nothing. I'll do some plug reads and go from there. Probably wind up installing a stage 1 kit.

Sure they did. :(

What exactly did they say they did to the carburetors?

Dipped again, new pilot jets I think. I had a spare carb rack for parts and they used one of the those carbs for some reason. Whatever they did it worked, except for this surging. The warmer the air and engine is the better it runs.

Running better when warm is a good indicator of running lean.

Running a header with stock jets is a good source of running lean.

Having a dealer do your carbs and valves is highly questionable.
