Does anyone know if and where you can get the anti-friction metal used on the inner and outer tubes of the front forks?

I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.
Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.
Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...
If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.
If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

As you're finding out and every GK owner knows, confusion reigns.
Very few parts suppliers (and, it appears, many people on this forum) have EVER heard of the GK... and most application guides leave out the 1100G shafties or mix them in with the chain drive 1100E models.
The 1100G/GL shafties ('82-'83 in the US) and chain drive/16V 1100E/1100L models have 37mm diameter forks. There are lots of other differences between the forks on the various 1100 models as well -- all they shared was the fork tube diameter. If someone tells me they have a GS1100, they haven't told me much at all.
The 1100GK models ('82-'84 in the US) have 41mm diameter forks, intended to give added load carrying ability and stiffness to support the large fairing and bags.
I double checked the measurement and found I had ordered the wrong bushings.
I was able to get back to Race Tech and change the order before they shipped.
I haven't looked into them, but someone has talked about a fork brace that is supposed to help. I'll post the reference if I can find it again.

When I was in the biz, the tech's would use feeler gauge under the bushing to take out excessive play in the bushings. Dont ask me how they did it, I gave them some beer and it was fixed. As far as a high speed wobble goes,its many things. Frame bracing helped mine the most when I was racing but it never went away. Its part of its personality, which is why we are all here on the forum. We love our GS's.
Got a friend who was, is and always will be in the biz. He mentioned the feeler gauge fix. Frame bracing may be out as my old dog will remain stock. So yes, Ill agree. It is in its "personality" and my fix will be simple......SLOW DOWN. Still wondering why when new I could go as fast as it would go with no wobble or weave......
We never seem to slow down... Lol. When they actually raced showroom bikes, In corner 1 (A wide open corner) at Brainerd Raceway, with stock bikes, I actually seen and heard a CBX wobbling.
