So...I haven't posted on here inna bit and thought it was time to supply an update. I've had my 'lil GS300L for about 2 months now and have taught myself to ride using videos off of the internets, all the while making mods as I go. It's now my daily driver to and from work. So far I've logged almost 300 miles from never riding a bike until now! I think I'm ready for my road test.
When last I updated i had just painted the tank with the skull offa Boba Fett's armor. Since then I have painted the pipes and some of the side chrome using BBQ Grill paint, Bars are now wrapped in black duct tape, some more black tape on the chrome bits of the turn signals, some nice matte black paint on the mirror backs and head covers.
It'll be getting colder here soon and I'll have to put the riding on hold. That should give me a good winter to make the major mods that I want to do. I'll be back in the forums quite a bit looking for advice on how to lower the back end, make a custom solo-seat installing some lowered handlebars and a metric crap load of other stuff.
Here are some pics of the before
and after...
And for some reason my dog loves to guard my bike. Whenever I go outside to hang out in the yard she parks next to it. Sometimes I have to pick her up to get her to come inside. Good doggy
