A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I noticed the other motor smoking a little at idle. Plus this motor has had gaskets replaced in it recently and is probably in better shape overall. I'm hoping the stator in it is still good otherwise I'll be ordering one soon. Yeah I think the cases really look good now and it didn't take much work at all!

Cool, that all makes sense.

I also paint stripped the Suzuki emblems both sides and I like them much better polished with no black.

Yeah the paint was coming off as I hit it with the polishing wheel. Probably gonna finish it off and leave it all polished...

Didn't get much done today...

But it's back to a roller...

It moves along so quick because I'm ready to ride! haha

Anyways made some more progress tonight... put the newer motor in, mounted seat, taillight, tag, and rear brake. Done for the night... Gonna be a busy week if this bike is gonna be ridden this weekend!

My bike doesn't even have the Suzuki emblem on the engine :(. And the engine covers are scratched to hell. Looking good!

I just used a blue scotchbrite rotoloc and red compound on some buffing wheels I got from Harbor Freight. Really didn't take that long... Looks good, but could be mirror like with more work...

Got my stator put in tonight. Took a little bit longer than I thought, but hopefully I'll finish up the wiring tomorrow night and maybe even get to ride it!

Well we closed on the house today... Can't wait to get moved in and start using my garage!

Awesome! Looks like a two car garage? I want my own garage...

Well it was a carport that they closed in... I guess it's two cars big?... anyways I'll have a car and a couple bikes in it

Nice one! That'll be much better than where you've been working for sure.

We have a 2 car garage, but it's a bit small and always has 2 cars in there, so I only get a little bit of a squishy area up the back where the work bench is and it gets a bit cramped, but beats the hell out of doing it outside.

Well the wife already knows that the WHOLE garage is my workspace until I can build a separate shop somewhere else on our 6 acres...

It's weird following the same thread across two forums :p

Looking good, and congrats on teh new garage.

haha yeah I figured the guys here might be able to offer up a little more technical help than a chopper forum.

And so far I count like maybe 3 people here that like my bike haha. I'm not sure if pete likes it as much as it intrigues him?

Choppers and Bobbers are my favorite ;)

Hahaha definitely intrigues me, but I'm also starting to like it :D

I think it may have been the initial shock at the stretched version you started with...

Ahh yes that was probably the same initial shock I suffered from when I first saw it. I'm still not happy with the frame and how he tied the hardtail in to the original loop, so I'll be building another with the other chassis while I'm riding the fool out of this one.

This bike will be back on the road tonight! hopefully haha
