Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Anyone fit a seat from a T on a L? I'm mainly wondering if the brackets are in the same spots?

Is it more comfortable than the crap L seat? is the passenger seat better? After about an 1.5 hours on my bike the seat has me in pain.

Ed has swapped between an L seat and a T seat on one of his bikes, I think he said it's not a direct swap but it's not hard to make it fit.

Wife wanted a L seat on her T, bracket in back hooked right up and only had to narrow front bracket to get it to slide in near tank, nothing to it. Would think other way would be no problem. terrylee

When I bought my bike, the PO affixed the "L" seat with non-OEM cushions/spacers and made it fit. I realize now the "L" seat definitely allows me to put both feet on the ground. With the "T" seat off my Spare "T", I have to tip-toe on one foot...so I lean it towards my left.

Look pretty good...I need to get the key and adjust the bracket so the seat fits snug against the tank.

Ed,
May I suggest something that I discovered this year?

My tank always sat a bit lower than my seat much like yours despite having what I thought were the correct cushions and bumpers. After I bought my daughter's L and reviewed how its tank sat on the bike, I spent some time staring at the parts fiche and found the mounting bolt cushions were completely different. Once I installed them last month, the tank and seat sit much better together.

Just a thought.

Hey cowboy,

Here's a pic of the newly installed OEM cushions/washers/bolts. I noticed the "L" seat fit differently once the washers were R-squared with the correct tank cushions.

Here's where I need to make the adjustment

I'm gonna order all the parts for the Cam Chain Tensioner and also get the correct parts for this area....see those huge washers that look out of place?

Ed

Thanks. Yea, those front cushions were what was on my daughter's L and missing from my T. You're also right about those washers...I'm sure you'll have them fixed and looking great very soon.

Oh, and you're right about that wind...there are days when it sucks out there (remember how "fun" it got in Albuquerque coming through the Sandias.).
