Hey guys.. Got a 1979 GS550 that's bone stock except for pods, when I bought the bike it wasn't running so I gave the carbs a good cleaning (they were really clean when I opened them) and replaced all 4 plugs. Fires up and idles perfectly. Revs perfectly up until about half throttle or 6k rpm, where it coughs and pops and won't rev above 6k. The compression is good on it and it has 80 main jets. I ordered o-rings for the carbs and the o-ring kit for the boots as well.
Here's a pic of a plug chop that I did with brand new plugs. 1-4 left to right.

I noticed #2 and #4 were leaner then the other two cyl. I know I have a tiny tiny leak in the drain screws, when I start the bike after its been sitting there's a some drips under the carbs and I have to turn the petcock to prime for a bit till it fills those bowls. The floats were set at 21.4MM as per factory settings.
