DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

So my bike is pretty much finished, at least for now. Just got doing the new paint and making the new seat. Been working on it for about a year and a half. This site has been an amazing resource during the course of building this thing.

Agreed, very nice work.
How do you operate the lights or are they on all the time? Ignition, kill switch?

Over the winter I re-wired the bike and removed anything that wasn't necessary. No tach or speedo. I installed a new barrel ignition key switch which you can see in the pic under the seat. The kill switch, push button start and hi-low beam switch are all mounted in front of the gas tank, right by the neck.

Tight! I dig the paint.
First time I've seen a sporty tank look good on a frame with the weird "W" backbone.

ho.... ly.... ****.

makes mine look like it came out of a swamp.

I love the custom details of the ignition key and electrics on the side, a really nice touch. If I have the energy for it with my own project I would like to steal your idea. It is that kind of simplicity that I am looking for :) Inspirational!!

Cheers

How does it run with those pod filters? Did you use a Dynojet kit or sort it through yourself?

Interesting bike. Just one question - how does the tach and speedo fall into the 'not important' category?

The words 'speeding ticket' come to mind.

If you need a speedo to worry about a ticket yur either riding like a squid or you don't have any experience.. The word "dumbass " comes to mind. I have NEVER gotten a speding ticket on a cycle A tach is simply another guage to watch, anybody who has rode a bike for very long can judge their engine speed without a tach regardless of the bike:clap:.. NICE BUILD!!!!! WTF is a TACH or SPEEDO !!!!!

Whatever!!! If you can gauge your speed at all times without a speedo you're a better man than I.

Who are you, Rainman?

It runs strong. I did use a Dynojet kit. It made it alot easier and kind of took the guess work out. Right now they are the emgo pods but I'm probably going to upgrade to the K&N pods.

I actually had a mini speedo and tach on the bike when I first got it running. I really didn't look at the speedo when I was riding so I decided to get rid of it. Usually I can judge how fast I am going when there is other cars around me. When it's an open road with no cars it is a little bit more difficult. I still have the tach and hook it up when I'm synching the carbs. I just don't leave it on when I'm riding.

Must be!! Because like i said. NEVER had a ticket on a bike with working speedo or not. Thirty years of riding and owned more than 25 bikes..No tickets
