I finally have the bike apart for the winter and am working on the engine. is it possible to wire the engine to bypass the starter motor so that it will only start with the kicker? if so how would i go about this?

remove the starter and install a rubber expandable freeze plug in the hole.
while your at it strip off all the starter clutch parts and anything starter related to save weight.
your saving weight and letting the engine rev easier/faster.
Read this closely.
There is more to doing the job right than just plugging a hole.![]()
rotor fits on a taper.
remove all starter clutch parts and put it back on..nothing else needs added.
it will only go so far on the taper.
Plus, with the starter gone, you can seal up the space where it was and create a flip top easy access lid so you can use it as a road trip oven...
Hot pockets anyone???![]()
