A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Anyone out there tell me if the fuel tank and exhaust on a 1978 GS750B UK bike, would be the same as on a 1978 GS750E USA bike .. The tank on my bike is 89 millimetres wide where it mounts onto the frame at the front. I purchased one off of ebay about 4 months ago from America listed for a 1978 GS750. I have just got around to putting it loosely on the bike before getting it sand blasted, and it is only 76 millimetres (around 1/2 inch narrower).
Im not sure if its sitting correctly, even though the rear mount goes in, its still off centre, and havnt got a seat yet to be sure. So don't know whether to just get another one before I pay out money getting it blasted

Dead on match. Should be anyway. the tank and pipes would be the same far as i know. Euro models would have changes such as carbs, jetting and other minor things though. I cant see Japan making a country specific tank or pipe though...counter productive to make two seperate sets of dies for the same bike otherwise.

Any idea what the Tank is for that I purchased from America ??

tank (Small).jpgThe RED is where the measurement is wrong by half an inch, this one being to narrow.

Whats the top look like and the sides??? Can the posts off the frame with the round rubber cushions be shortened just a tad to allow it to slip on? My have to modify the rubber mounts a tad thinner also but it may work.

Yes that does look to be a 78 E tank..right shape. Missing the fuel door cover. And has the 78 style pinstripe. May have to do mounting post modifications.

When I got it off ebay, it was just listed as a 78' GS750 .....
SUZUKI FUEL TANK / 78' GS750 (good condition / no cracks or leaks / inside has a tiny amount of rust but not bad at all / 1 dent on the left side / no dents on the right / paint is fair). Cleaning out my shop of some random gas tanks laying around. i might be a little off on the year or model this fits so please look at the pictures and be sure this is what you need. WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PICTURE/S IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU GET. please look at my store for more motorcycle parts like this.
