A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I bought this bike a few months ago...I never liked the headlight assembly which is square or the front fairing...

I removed both and installed a round headlight assembly which look so much better (I think)

I've been studying the front end...the look of the bike and was thinking the original fender seems so bulky and oversized for the 16" wheel and now with the fairing removed and the lighter looking headlight it would look really good with a smaller type front fender.

Does anyone know of a supplier for aftermarket front fenders?

Any help would be appreciated.

what about a B6 fender, like this...........

How about some pics, we are a visual lot here.

I don't know of aftermarket manufacturers of simple fenders. Most everything you see these days tends to be super expensive carbon fibre "swoopy" designs for the go fast bikes.

You might want to take a joy ride out to Zdeno, the wrecker in Kitchener. They have a gazillion bike parts and would likely have something that would suit you. If not you still would enjoy a visit to see all his stuff.

Good luck with it.

I don't have pics of it on the bike but I put a '90 Ninja 500 fender on last year to test fit. It's smaller and I like it but I took it back off until I repaint everything. Kawi green fender makes my bike look like nuclear Christmas.

With it being plastic, you can always shave it down if worse comes to worst.

Hi,
I'm new to this forum and hadn't realized there were posts to my post...

Is there anyway to set it to email me when there are posts?

Maybe I'll attempt shaving it down...the front fender that is...

1. When logged in, go here: http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum/profile.php?do=editoptions

2 .Scroll down to "Messaging & Notification"

3. Look for the box "Default Thread Subscription Mode"

4. Pick what you want in the drop-down, scroll all the way down, and click "Save Changes"

I think the forum will automatically subscribe you to any threads that you post in. If not, or if you want to subscribe to a random thread, go to the top of the page, click on "Thread Tools" and then "Subscribe to this thread".
