    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Gs850 + boost?

That "GSX1100 turbobike" must be something aftermarket, as the only turbo bike that Suzuki offered was a 650.

You would have to track the source of that thread to see where they found the pump gears.

A serious suggestion;
Look into ditching the shaft and put a chain conversion on. It's been done, but I don't have the info to hand. It's not as easy as on the Kwack 750, which had a removeable front bevel box, but once you remove the front drive bevel gears, you're confronted with a splined shaft sticking out of an oil seal from the crankcase, which will accept a sprocket (even if it has to be machined up). The remaining parts of the bevel box housing can be chopped away.
I don't know what chain swingarm would fit, but for sure some engineering will be needed.
As far as the crank goes - I'd weld it for sure. I've successfully twisted an 850 crank, much to my surprise.

To be completely serious, neither are good candidates for turbocharging. Go find a chain-drive bike and boost it.

Just keep sawing, welding, and generally ruining the 850 and 1000 until you two finally give up and part them out. Or, perhaps you'll do like 95% of the "customizers" and put them on Craigslist for 20X what they're worth. :rolleyes:

Deffo; the 1000 and 1100 shafties were the main recipients of this surgery, but the casings are the same design.
Google around; you will find it somewhere. I'd go so far as to say somebody wrote about it on here at some point.
 
How close does that tail section sit to the tire when you have it loaded up? What is up with those handlebars?

Then, the outer clutch basket should get welded up
Crankshaft? Hard to know whether these were beefed up, as 850s rarely gain more than 10 HP from stock, and so I doubt that there's much data on that.

As all of these other jokers have mentioned, the 850 is an odd bike to turbo. So, start a build thread on it.

Been wanting to ask about this (in a seperate post even, But sometimes there's a little good [someplace])...

Do you mean the rear wheel? OR the rear of the driveshaft OR driveshaft case rear portion OR whole "thing"?
I've been very interested in this since there's a few parts /parts bikes decent shape around , seem to dry up quick...my GSX1100G has 30K miles and hoping to keep it a long time.
Also if there's any other parts that would be a good idea to have handy ?

Also the HP at rear wheel should be about 108. There's even a few dyno-test vids on utube...
Mine has RS carbs (140/20 jets), pods, 4-1, not even tuned properly and I've honestly gotten the front wheel off ground TWICE UN-intentionally. Has a lot of fork rake compared to others too...now really worried about wearing out something...

BKF, not sure what you are asking here. You start by saying you are going to ask a question, then post several PARTS of questions. "Do you mean the rear wheel?" Do we mean WHAT about the rear wheel?

"OR whole "thing"?" What 'whole thing'?

I, for one, can not understand what you are asking about these various parts.

It doesn't get too close to but the license plate bracket will need to be bent. Also the handle bars are clubmans and without anything on them they look kinda goofy
