A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

This is going to the extreme has anyone ever put a gsxr motor onto a gs frame and got it to work. just wondering the possibilities being i got a cheap rolling setup and a lead on a cheap gsxr motor thats fuel injected. any clear issues. itsa 600 motor with only 115 horse which shouldn't be too much for the frame to handle and less torque than a factory gs 750. anythought let me know.

I've done it a few times with 600 750 1100 & b12 oil cooled engines its all pretty simple with those but doubt it would be as easy with a watercooled engine + theres all that messy pipework to contend with :-k

the gs gsx frame will take a fair amount of power with mild bracing anyway so i wouldnt worry about that too much

The big difference in transplanting an air/oil cooled motor vs a water cooled later generation motor is the direction of the carbs and intake manifolds. The Air/oil cooled motors had the carbs and intake manifolds coming in from the back of the head just like the air cooled GS motors. The newer GSXR motors have the carbs and manifolds coming virtually straight down from above the head. That's why the air box on the newer bikes is tucked up under the tank and why the frame rails run around the outside of the motor. You will likely have a tough time packaging the intake system on a newer motor into the older style backbone frames. But of course, anything can be accomplished with enough effort.

Hmmm thats a K.L.or M engine in that link theres no list of engine work or performance upgrades & those engines put out around 130/140 bhp at the wheel as stock

I smell something remarkably like bulls*"t there  ^o:-k
