A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

on my 83 gs 750ed it has about six inch tall risers that connect the triple tree to the bars, almost like really tall clip ons. my question is has any one else wanted the lower the bars, and if so what did you use and how did it work out. Riding the bike feels kind of awkward on account i'm 6'4" and im just looking for a way to make it more comfortable for me.

thanks in advanced

You have dog bone risers? And you dont want them? Just take em off and put the bars back on the Triple Tree clamp?

I've got a set of clipon on mine... but then again, I have a whole GSXF600 "Katana" front end on it.

my brother has an 03 gsxf 600, and the clip ons look like they will just bolt right up to my tripple trees

They would, but the angle is wrong and the clipons are too big (they're for 41mm forks, you have 37mm forks). You need to find a set of 37mm clipons... or do the front end swap so you can run modern rubber etc. My dead parts bike GSXF600 cost me $100 + $100 for delivery, so it's not expensive - and I run radial tires now.

If you can find clips from an 83 (ish) XN-85 they should just bolt right on, and you can adjust the angle on them...

Or (even less likely to be found) some clips from an 84-86 pop up Katana should fit. They are about 4 inch rise...

Might have to go Ebay australia or Ebay UK for those, however.

Is there a 37mm clip-on out there that doesnt have ten foot risers?
