    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

On August 11th i have a hannigan fairing being shipped for me to put on my gs 1000L.Anyone interested in the best made fairings money can buy go to hanniganmotorcyclefairings.com There you can see my old venture with one on it.How do i post pictures here? How do you search old threads telling how to do things like posting pictures? i know someone here will want to see my bike with the fairing on it.By the way, i know you all are tired of my forward control talk her, but i do have the most comfortable highway pegs on my bike and have ridden hundreds of miles with them lately if anyone is interested. They are the foundation for forward controls, and would make anyone's ride more comfortable should anyone be interested. They will not be expensive, will not require any modification of anyones bike except for removing the crash bars and putting these on in their place.Very simple, very effective.I have about $60.000 in materials and welding time in them, so unfinished will probably be $75.00.Finished in chrome or powder coat who knows?I have not asked the powder coat guy here about pricing. They move you feet forward 13 1/2 inches and may be all anyone needs rather than forward controls.

How about rearsets?

To post a picture, load up the picture on a web page, RIGHT click on the picture, go to Properties and you will see an http: address for the picture. Highlight that with your mouse, right click on the highlighted text and select "Copy". Then, when you want to put a picture in your post, click on the little box right up above that looks like a mountain with a sun and a box will pop up asking for the address of the picture. Paste it in there and it will add it to your post.

THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE PICTURE INFORMATION.I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT REARSETS EXCEPT THEY PUT YOU IN A POSRTBIKE RIDING POSITION ALONG WITH CLIPONS.I PERSONALLY DONT RIDE LIKE THAT BUT I AM MUCH OLDER.I CAN SEE HOW THAT COULD BE FUN AS LONG AS YOU HAD A CLEQR ROAD,NO DEER CROSSING,NO STUPID CAGERS,ETC.MY PROBLEM IS I HAD THE PERFECT SETUP.MY BEST FRIEND HAD THE WELDER,CHOP SAW,DRILL PRESS,GRINDERS,TIG,MIG,ACETYLENE,ETC.NOW HE HAS LOST MOST OF HIS INTEREST SO I AM GETTING A LOCAL WELDONG SHOP TO PUT MY DESIGNS INTO REALITY BUT I CANT OFFER AS CHEAP A PRICE ON ANYTHING AS I WOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO.I HOPE SELLING SOMETHING HERE WILL MAKE MY FRIEND REINTERESTED.I WONDER IF REARSETS OFF SOME SPORTBIKE WOULD BE ADAPTABLE TO OUR BIKES? I KNOW IF I HAD ONE OF THOSE 1100'S WITH THE ONEPIECE LOOKING BODY WORK I WOULD DEFINITELY LEAVE IT AS A SPORT TOURER AND NOT "CRUISERIZE" IT.I LOVE THOSE BIKES.
