Wondering if anyone is familiar with these exhausts? Found one for a decent price for the 750e, just curiuos as to how good they are.

I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.
Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Returning Visitors
If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.
If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.
Those are a staple aftermarket exhausts from the UK, the workmanship and materials are highly rated but don't expect the same performance gains from a Bassani, Yosh or Supertrapp

Yeah might be kind of expensive, converts to $285 before shipping...still not bad for a full exhaust.
this may be a dumb question.. On the gumtree dublin link the guy said they wouldnt fit his 750 "GSX" but the tab is stamped with GS 750. So whats the difference between a GS 750 and the GSX? Is the GSX like crotch rocket style or what?

I believe GSX is the European version, so by that logic one would assume they should be the same port spacing..hmmm.
well if thats the case Joe.. then if it didnt fit his 750 will,it fit yours?? HMM ?? It does however clearly say GS 750 and not 750GSX too!!! Would really suck wind to spend the cash and be stuck.

GSX is how europeans designate the 16 valve right? An 8 valve earlier 750 they'd calla GS same as us.
AHHH ...the 16 valve (GSX) must have different port spacing than than the 8 valve GS 750s.. That probably explains why they wouldnt fit on his GSX version.. So logically they WILL fit on Joes 8 valve then.

yeah no doubt, I emailed the guy to find out exactly where and how it didn't fit. He wasn't very specific as to what the problem was.
well what to do??? hope you roll a lucky one and give it a shot or try to find some domestically.....I have seen new 4 into one in Dennis Kirk and JC Whitney has a few too.

gs is the 2 valve and exhaust bolts at bottom of can
gsx is the 4 valve and it bolts up top of can
gsx is the 4 valve and it bolts up top of can

Gs 8 valve & gsx 16 valve port spacing is the same so either exhaust will fit at the head, i'm guessing the problem the guy had fitting it was with it catching around the sump or footrest area 
Harris exhausts have not actually been made by harris themselves for many years & the company that took over production no longer makes this type anymore as far as i'm aware (although they keep promising to make a new batch)
This type of harris exhaust used to come in either chrome steel or "black chrome" & every one comes complete with the famous harris mid range hole as standard & for free

They are a pretty decent pipe though I was never impressed with the quality of the chrome on the originals. You see loads of real rusty ones around.

I didn't see one listed for the 750? only the 1000. I would really like to find a black one.

Hyde has always listed them as in stock but for years its been a different matter if you try to order one
the opinion of most people ive spoken to is that they keep them listed in the hope that someone orders a production run of few hundred, things may have changed so its worth contacting them but i wouldnt hold my breath

It would be nice if there were a few more options for these bikes. I really like the looks of the Harris, would really like to locate one in the black chrome.

I did here back from the guy on this, here is the email he sent me regarding it not fitting, sounds like the header is the issue.

i have a gsx750ed 1984,the headers are a fraction too big to fit my head ( it would take a small bit of work) the headers are slightly too long, pushing the system down too much for my liking. as i said i could make it fit but , time and effort are in short supply at the moment, i would rather just get something that fits straight away.

I think the exhaust port angle on the GSX head is different to the GS head, this causes some header junctions to kick up into the sump and make it difficult to fit GSX headers to a GS. Not sure about this issue with Harris systems.
