A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hi Gang,

Since you all did such a great job nailing down that "Harris" exhaust for me a few weeks ago, I figured I'd try my luck again with this new mystery part…………a fender.

Attached is a picture of an older GS that was transformed into a sweet caf? racer, and I absolutely love the front fender but I can’t seem to find it anywhere on the web, and I’m starting to think that it might be some custom job.

What I’m hoping is that I just haven’t found it yet, and that is an “off the shelf” item that I can buy & bolt on.

Take a look, and thanks………….

That bike was never built as far as I can tell. It was an inspiration to me as well. It has what looks like a TR750 solo tail which you can get from Airtech. The tank looks like a later (82+) G tank and the fender looks to be a cut down stocker. This pic was a project for a design school if I'm not mistaken.

Thanks....

I had this gut feeling that it was some type of computer generated drawing or something but I wasn't sure, and I also had a feeling that the front fender was modified from its original shape.

I spent weeks searching on every aftermarket and cafe racer parts web site you can imagine, and I couldn't find anything close to it.

In the end I decided to just go with the Early Superbike Maier fenders that Dennis Kirk sells. That's what I have on the bike now and it looks good so I just bought a new one since the one I had was getting raddy.

Thanks for the input, and that yellow bike is gorgeous, real or not.......

Do a Google search for Oberdan Bezzi - he does a lot of computer designs. IIRC, that picture is one of two GS850's, and he did a fantastic rendering of a GS500 as well.

Myself personally I love the last bike. Old school gs1100 I think with the TR looking tailpiece and the front fairing gives me wicked thoughts.
